From the Editor

First of all, I want to thank all of the contributors and submitters for letting us hear your voices. I have absolutely loved putting this issue together. It has been an immense pleasure to see the successful continuation of a project that celebrates who you are as raw and talented individuals. Thank you so much.

Thank you, of course, to my fellow editors for all of your hard work and dedication to this magazine and its purpose.

And as always, thank you to my family for your continued love and support.

The works in this second issue are well-crafted encounters that skillfully conjure up both the southern familiar and the southern bizarre. The honesty that the authors have utilized is raw and powerful and go “right for the heart.” (Amuse-Bouche– Holland)

Read these works. And then read them all again. Get lost in Monroe, NC. Get lost in the deep woods and the anger and the hurt. Get lost in the depth of a body and found in the healing power of prescription. And then don’t forget about the experience. Remember it and take it with you.
