After living twenty-some years in rural Ohio, Wes Jamison moved to Chicago and earned his MFA in Nonfiction from Columbia College. His work appears in 1913: A Journal of Forms, Essay Press, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. His work in Cahoodaloodaling Magazine was nominated for the Pushcart Prize (2017), and “The Secret Garden” (South Loop Review 2011 essay contest winner) was selected as a Notable Essay in The Best American Essays 2013. Wes is now a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Louisiana.
