I’m a queer nonbinary woman who grew up on the rising shoreline in Wilmington, North Carolina, belonging to both the Southern and queer communities. In line with my vocation in in environmental justice and climate action, my creative work grapples with the complexities of relationships we have with the places that make us in a beautiful and broken world, and with how rural communities can achieve a transition that’s also a revolution. My recent publications include Reckoning Magazine, Lucent Dreaming, Storm Cellar, Claw and Blossom, Isacoustics*, Blind Corner, and works forthcoming in Bell Press’ RITUALS anthology.
